Overview of responsibilities :

We are seeking motivated and community-minded Economic Ambassadors to help advance ITFC’s national membership and partnership strategy. This is a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about Indigenous economic reconciliation and inclusive business growth to play a leadership role in expanding Canada’s largest Indigenous-driven economic network.

The Economic Ambassador will focus on business development—building relationships with Indigenous communities, local businesses, corporate Canada, and government partners—to increase membership, identify partnership opportunities, and promote ITFC’s suite of tools and services.

Qualifications :

Ideal Candidate Profile

Strong understanding or interest in Indigenous economic development, reconciliation, and business engagement.

Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven approach to relationship building.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and remotely.

Prior experience in business development, sales, or community engagement is an asset.

Connections within Indigenous, business, or government networks considered a strong advantage.

Knowledge requirements :

Experience working with Indigenous communities, groups or stakeholders to resolve land use conflicts;
Experience in project management including research, policy, and program development Experience leading, or participating in, facilitations and conflict resolution with First Nations communities or stakeholders, and government
Experience dealing with a wide range of resource users such as government, industry, special interest groups, and the public or in the oil and gas industry as it relates to First Nations issues.
